ABOUT THIS SHOW
--------------------------------
This performance was part of the Tibetan Freedom Concert, organized by Adam Yauch (Beastie Boys) to raise awareness for Tibetan independence. U2 delivered a compact, no-frills set that channeled urgency and focus, fitting for the political and human rights message of the event. The crowd was energized, the band was in fierce form, and the vibe was intimate and raw.

AUDIO NOTES
--------------------------------
Matrix/Processing Notes:

- Soundboard re-stemmed and rebalanced for improved instrument separation and clarity. The TV board-mix had faders all over the place, as they seemed to be mixing on the fly (typical with such a lineup on the day)

- High-end definition restored to compensate for original muffled and slightly disjointed mix

- Audience recording layered to add high-end definition in drums and add natural venue ambience and crowd.

No added reverb or artificial effects applied

Dry and raw stage sound intentionally preserved to reflect the intimacy and authenticity of the setting (contrasting with wide, South American PopMart soundboards)

Enjoy this show! - AW (2025)
