Alas, when Kirit Kapadia died, many of his master tapes were disposed of. And, no doubt, that has been the fate of many recordings from other tapers from earlier years, reflecting changes in interests, deaths, etc.
In this case, as such, we have the first 14 songs from this concert. There are more complete versions of this show in circulation, but this master tape is new to torrent sites. My personal inventory list shows the following:
U2 – The Summit -- Houston, Texas – April 8, 1987 (Mystical Crow Sony PC-62>Sony WM-D3)
U2 – The Summit -- Houston, Texas – April 8, 1987 (cd, unknown source, U2T)
and achtungbootlegs.com suggests the existence of a silver:
"The Trees in Texas", Italian Rarities, with quality described as "The sound is generally good, without any particular flaws."
and Justin Cook's extinct web site referenced two versions, one entitled "Joshua Tree Houston - Night Two" and "Joshua Tree Houston".
As for quality...well, if you are hoping for a soundboard quality recording, this is NOT it! I would grade it as a B+, somewhat shallow sound, but definitely
"listenable".
