This is a fixed version of the 'Rocking At The East Bay' - Remastered version made by U2Freak999, Torrent #5062, which can be found here: http://u2torrents.com/torrents-details.php?id=5062
This version suffers from thousand of clicks and glitches, too high bass, and clipping. According to 'U2Freak999', the clicks and glitches were also in the original IEM-source, so I decided to fix it but only for myself because I thought that the remaster was very good and it was a shame to leave it like this.
'U2Freak999' ask me if I could share my fixed version because he also wasn't yet satisfied with his remaster, that's why I'm sharing it. But keep in mind that I'm not a pro on audio edition. We can say that I have a 'medium-knowledge' about it, but too far from guys with high skills in this area. If you are not satisfied with it, I'm truly sorry.

Description
====================================
Another earpiece recording of the Popmart Tour.
This is exactly the sound Bono heard during the concert.
His voice is very high in mix. But also his guitar playing is pretty loud as well as Edge's background vocals.
Techs can be heard talking in sometimes but it's not detracting at all.
Clarity is fantastic and audience noise is minimal.
It's quite interesting to hear that Bono needs a metronome on some tracks. This is for the click tracks that the band uses to supplement their sound. On songs that have strings or organ sounds (One, Where the Streets Have No Name), the click tracks are triggered and the band uses to metronome like count to keep them in sync with the pre-recorded backing tracks.
Although the concert and the setlist are nothing special I strongly recommend this bootleg.

Sound Forge, Adobe Audition, CD Wave
====================================
The clicks and glitches were fixed with 'Sound Forge 9.0' using the 'Click and Crackle Removal' plugin. It took me three days to fix the complete recording. This recording contained A LOT of clicks and glitches. The presets I used varies between 'More conservative, for vinyl recordings', 'Default for vinyl recordings', 'For manually fixing small selections', 'Good for high frequency crackling'. I tried to use the 'more conservative' preset everytime I could.
Then I used 'Adobe Audition 3.0' to reduce the bass (-6 db). The bass was TOO HIGH, some tracks were impossible to listen to at a normal volume. The distortion was important. This also avoid the clipping and reduces the general volume some dbs.
I also normalized using a peak level of 96% (I never normalize to 100%). When you normalize audio to 100%, you achieve the maximum amplitude possible that digital audio allows (0 dB) without clipping. However, if you plan to use normalized audio on a CD, you might want to normalize the waveforms to no more than 96% as some audio compact disc players inaccurately reproduce bits that are processed to 100% (maximum) amplitude.
I NEVER normalize using average RMS level. Normalizing to 0 dB boosts the signal so that it has the same apparent loudness as a 0 dB square wave (which is incredibly loud). If you were to do so, all of the dynamic range of the signal would be squashed and all the peaks would either be clipped or seriously compressed. Normalizing a peak to 0 dB is OK, but normalizing RMS to anything above -6 dB can compromise sound quality. So, NO dynamic compression was applied. A recording that is VERY LOUD because of the LOUDNESS does NOT mean better audio quality. All the new official albums or remasters sound VERY loud, for example, 'How To Dismantle And Atomic Bomb', your ears think it sounds really good, but unfortunately this is not correct, and the most important thing, a BIG dynamic compression was applied by the 'audio engineers' to the album to sound like that. This sucks. More info do a google with "loudness war".
At last, I scanned for any kind of clipping with 'Clip Restoration' plugin just in case, but there were no clips now (0 %).
'CD Wave Audio Editor' was used to split the tracks at CD sector boundary (1/75).
Short glitches that were impossible to fix because part of the audio was missing:
- With or Without You at 2:16
- Even Better Than The Real Thing at 1:24
- Staring At The Sun at 5:16
- Mysterious Ways at 4:51
